Ashley created the matte for the frame image in Photoshop and added Dr. Davis' picture from his website to it.
For this shot Ashley used 1-point tracking to make sure the picture of Dr. Davis and the 50 cent clip stayed in place. In the source footage, we put tracking tape on the wall but the electrical outlet gave a better track. Ashley had to rotoshape the window to the sound booth out but also kept the reflections of Celu and Kiel on the inside window to place over the 50 cent clip. Next she added a glass texture and a film over the 50 cent clip.
There was a slight lighting change at the beginning of this segment so she keyed the brightness of Dr. Davis' portrait to match that change. Ashley was a little disappointed because although the shot rendered out fine in Shake, when we brought it in to Final Cut, the clip of 50 cent had weird artifacts because of its difference in quality.
